Bradford White's manufacturing plant earned the distinction of being the first water heater manufacturing facility in the U.S. to be certified to the highest quality standard of ISO 9001. Bradford White is audited semi-annually by their registrar, Hartford Steam Boiler. A staff of 20 internal auditors is maintained to ensure ongoing compliance.
What is ISO?
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has developed quality standards that are applicable to any business. One such standard is commonly known in the industry as ISO 9000.
Is BWC ISO certified?
Bradford White has been an ISO certified company since 1994 and are presently certified under 9001-2008. ISO certification provides bona fide proof of our company’s commitment to quality.
What is the ISO certification process?
Every three years, our business operating system is audited by an accredited registrar to ensure compliance to the ISO standard. This audit is thoroughly conducted for six (6) full days. To continue the certification during the 3 year period, annual surveillance reviews are conducted by the same external auditing firm. These system maintenance reviews last for four days. Any failures, or “findings” must be remedied by way of Corrective Actions and follow up to the satisfaction of the registrar, or the certification will be revoked. Our certification is, and always has been, in good standing.
