In the near future, Bradford White Corporation will make a change to the thermostats used on our residential and some of the commercial electric water heaters.  The new thermostats will be manufactured by Therm-O-Disc (TOD) and will be compatible to the existing components provided by Apcom.

Although the new thermostats will be an upgrade to the existing components, they will have the same functionality.  The new thermostats will have a tight differential and provide reliable and consistent water temperature.

The new thermostats will be incorporated on our residential Upright, Lowboy and Utility water heaters as well as on our Dairy Barn models (DB80R) and our Medium Duty commercial electric models (E32/E31).  Bradford White’s existing Light Duty commercial electric water heaters, Wall Hung water heaters, and MII commercial electric water heaters utilizing surface mounted thermostats currently employ the Therm-O-Disc thermostats.

The following table shows the part numbers of the new thermostats and their application.  In addition, pictures of the TOD thermostats are on the following page.
