Low NOx Burner

Bradford White is pleased to announce the introduction of our new low NOx burner for natural gas models.

The new burner, manufactured by Beckett Gas will be the burner used for all natural gas models with inputs from 30,000 to 85,000 BTU (Residential and Light Duty Models). Key features include:

Durable, aluminized steel construction
Corrosion resistant
Meets or exceeds all water heater emission regulations in the United States
“Onion” shaped flame pattern – soft flame appearance
“B” burner assembly can replace the “E” burner assembly in the field

The new burner has been used on high input models (76,000 and 85,000 BTU models) for many years and is also being used on the Bradford White Defender Safety System™ models. Phase-in on the non-FVIR models will occur on July 15, 2003.

The current model numbers for non-FVIR models have been revised as a result of this change, however the only difference between the current model number and the new is the “E” has been substituted with a “B”. All orders placed for non-FVIR models on or after July 15, 2003 should include the new model numbers. The following is an example of the model number revision:
