IMPORTANT CHANGE ON PROPANE GAS MODELS

For years we have used a cast iron burner on our Propane models, which has earned the reputation in the industry as being robust and durable. While the cast iron burner was a key feature for many years on our Propane gas offering it also created some challenges for us recently as well. With that said, Bradford White is pleased to announce a change from the cast iron burner to a new Titanium stabilized, 439 ferritic stainless steel burner for all residential and light duty commercial Propane gas models.

This new Propane gas burner offers many advantages. First and foremost, it has a high heat tolerance and warp resistance, which means it can withstand the wearing affects of Propane gas and its high heating value. Also, the new burner is self -regulating and does not require an air shutter adjustment. Finally, the new burner shuts down cleanly, minimizing the incidence of soot discharge. Overall, the new Titanium stabilized, 439 ferritic stainless steel burner offers a quieter operation, longer operational life and is virtually maintenance free.

New Propane gas model numbers have been created to reflect this change from a Cast Iron burner to the new Titanium stabilized stainless steel burner. We have removed the "C" (Cast Iron) in the Propane model number designator and replaced it with an "S" (Stainless Steel). Example: Propane model with Cast Iron burner – MI403S6FCX. Propane model with Stainless Steel burner – MI403S6FSX.

The new burner will be phased into the product line over the next several months, beginning in April. More detailed information on this new Titanium stabilized stainless steel burner will be available in the next few weeks.
