Bradford White's Warranty Check List

  • Obtain and confirm model and serial number.
  • Confirm water heater is covered under warranty.
    Remember labor is only covered in the first year (15 mos. without proof of installation).
  • Distributor must fill out warranty allowance (WAF).
    Must have address, model and serial numbers or part number(s) if applicable. No Return Material for Authorization (RMA) number or customer reference number required (if west of the Mississippi River or past first year of installation unless requested by Bradford White).
  • Be certain model and serial numbers along with the work completed is listed on the contractor’s labor invoice.
  • Make a photo copy for your records.
  • Attach contractor's invoice, WAF white copy, and Field Service report together with defective parts in package and send back to BWC Michigan. Address is on top of WAF.
  • If parts only are being returned and only from an Independent Servicing Contractor (ISC), have the blue tag attached to the part (completely filled out) and return parts pre-paid to Middleville, MI facility “Attention Parts” (a WAF is not required for ISC returned parts).
  • Attach WAF carbon copy with Field Service report (if used) and the labor invoice with notation of shipping info. This is for contractor’s files (if needed).
