*This information is presented as assistance to determine the date of manufacture and duration of the Limited Warranty only when the product is used, installed and maintained in accordance with the Installation/Operation Instructions and as per the terms and conditions of Limited Warranty packaged with the product. Warranty duration for residential product is based upon the entered serial number being installed and used in a single family dwelling application. Usage of residential product in other applications will shorten the duration of the warranty. Final determination of warranty status will be made by Bradford White Warranty Department. Additional Warranty Questions

What does the limited warranty cover?

Bradford White’s limited warranty covers both the glass-lined tank and component parts for leakage or other malfunction caused by defects in materials and/or workmanship. It extends to the first buyer and to any subsequent owner(s) as long as the water heater remains installed at its original place of installation.

What does the limited warranty NOT cover?

  1. This limited warranty does not cover leakage or other malfunction caused by:
    1. Excessive use and specifically, non residential use.
    2. Defective installation, and specifically, any installation which is made:
      1. in violation of applicable state or local plumbing, housing or building codes, or
      2. without a certified American Gas Association, ASME, or comparable combination temperature and pressure relief valve, or
      3. contrary to the written instructions furnished with the unit.
    3. Adverse local conditions, and specifically, sediment or line precipitate in the tank or corrosive elements in the atmosphere.
    4. Misuse, and specifically, operation, and maintenance contrary to the written instructions furnished with the unit, removal of magnesium anode, disconnection, alteration or addition of non-approved components or apparatus, operation with fuels or at settings other than those set forth on the rating plate or accidental or other exterior damage.
  2. This warranty also does not cover:
    1. Production of noise, taste, odors, discoloration or rusty water
    2. Incidental property damage, loss of use, inconvenience or other incidental or consequential costs.
    3. Cost associated with the replacement and/or repair of the unit, including:
      1. any freight, shipping or delivery charges
      2. any removal, installation or re-installation charges
      3. any material, and/or permits required for installation, re-installation or repair
      4. charges to return the defective water heater and/or component part to the manufacturer.
