  • Built-in Bradford White Wave™ Connectivity: The AeroTherm® G2 is a smart water heater with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Put the Bradford White Wave™ app on your phone, and you can control your water heater from anywhere! For example, if you’re on vacation, you can remotely put your water heater into vacation mode to save energy while you’re away.
  • Quieter operation. Heat pump water heaters have a compressor which makes a sound similar to a refrigerator. We’ve made the AeroTherm® G2 a bit quieter so you might not even notice it running.
  • Smaller installation footprint: The AeroTherm® G2 has zero required clearances on the sides and rear, so it can be installed along a wall or even in a corner to save you valuable floor space.

Remarkable Flexibility with 5 Operating Modes

With the AeroTherm® Series, you can choose from five (5) operating modes so you can set the level of performance and efficiency you want for different situations:

  • Heat Pump: Maximize savings in the most energy efficient mode.
  • Hybrid Standard: Factory setting that combines heat pump efficiency with standard electric recovery rates when extra demand requires it.
  • Hybrid Plus: Maximizes performance and hot water recovery by using both the heat pump and lower heating element simultaneously at all times.
  • Electric (Only): Operates like a standard electric water heater, eliminating air flow and sound (least energy efficient).
  • Vacation: Adjusts the temperature set point down to 50°F (10°C) for extended periods of time.

Here’s a real-life example: Because your hot water demand is low for most of the day, you could set the water heater to operate in super efficient Heat Pump mode. However, because you and your family take showers in the morning, you could schedule the AeroTherm® G2 to operate in Hybrid Standard Mode between 7am and 9am. That way you get the performance you need when you need it, but you maximize efficiency the other 22 hours of the day!

And remember… because the AeroTherm® G2 has built-in connectivity, you can put the Bradford White Wave™ app on your phone and change modes whenever you want. Have relatives visiting who want to shower at night? You can change the mode quickly and easily right from your phone while you’re sitting on your couch!
