Vitraglas® Tank Lining with Microban®
Vitraglas® is an exclusive enamel tank lining that provides unsurpassed protection from the corrosive effects of water. Microban® antimicrobial technology provides additional product protection by helping to prevent the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface of the tank lining. The enamel tank lining and protective features are effective for the lifetime of our reliable water heaters.
Vitraglas® tank lining with Microban® is uniquely formulated and applied to the water heater tank, head, base, and flue tube, and is then bonded to the steel surface by firing at a temperature of over 1600°F. An automatic spray application system maintains consistent thickness to produce a superior, durable, corrosion-resistant, and long-lasting tank lining. The unique compound structure allows the lining to expand and contract with the steel tank.
Bradford White created Vitraglas® and effectively set the standard for glass-lining protection. Since then, we’ve added key features like Microban® antimicrobial technology and improved the application of this exclusive formula to create the perfect tank lining. Today it’s included as standard equipment on nearly all Bradford White tank water heaters.
Hydrojet®
Total Performance System
The Bradford White Hydrojet® Total Performance System is a cold-water delivery tube that reduces sediment buildup and thoroughly mixes incoming water with stored water to reduce thermal stratification.
The secret is a series of flow-altering “jet ports” that create counter-rotation and dynamic turbulence that effectively blasts suspension and prevents its accumulation. The upper “jet ports” direct the flow outward to begin the dynamic mixing action. The lower “jet ports” direct the flow inward to increase pressure and turbulence.
Sediment buildup is the main killer of water heater life. But Bradford White’s Hydrojet® system reduces sediment to lengthen the life of the water heater, improve first hour rating, provide more hot water for the money, improve overall operating efficiency, and deliver more hot water faster than other water heaters.

If flammable vapors enter this uniquely designed system and are ignited, any flames present in the chamber will be prevented from traveling backwards through the flame arrestor plate and outside of the water heater, providing added protection for you and your home.

Infiniti Tankless® SRT
Infiniti Tankless® is the SMARTER way to go tankless, using advanced technology for better performance. All models feature SRT (Scale Reduction Technology) that utilizes multiple components to reduce scale build-up, which is known to result in poor performance, premature component or product failure, and ultimately additional maintenance costs for the consumer.
A vertical modulation burner helps to reduce hot spots in the heat exchanger that can attract sediment buildup. Internal turbulators help lower the surface temperature of the high-quality copper primary heat exchanger; both help to reduce sediment buildup on both the inside and outside of the water tube. Even the secondary heat exchanger uses smooth tube construction to reduce internal and external sediment build-up.
SRT enables an Infiniti Tankless® to operate at peak performance longer and helps to reduce the consumer’s maintenance costs.
STEADISET® Technology
Tankless water heaters have always faced the challenge of temperature stability. While a tank water heater has 40 gallons or more of perfectly hot water, a tankless water heater has to generate that hot water as needed – and must adapt quickly to changes in demand. This traditionally has been overcome by adding an external buffer tank and circulator which increases operating costs and lowers efficiency.
The Infiniti® K Series uses a very different approach: Steadiset® Technology. Instead of adding water volume, the Infiniti® K uses the mass of the existing water already contained within the heat exchanger to create a surplus of water that’s 10 to 20 degrees hotter than the desired set point. This hotter water is then blended with cold water using a dynamic mixing valve to achieve the desired output temperature.
So instead of needing additional external equipment like conventional tankless, the Infiniti® K Series uses SteadiSet® Technology to respond instantly to changes in demand and keep water temperatures stable – reducing operating costs and increasing efficiency.
